S – See Multiple Realities & Roles
We all like to think that we are one person who is consistent across all areas of our lives. The truth is we live in multiple realities and perform different roles within those realities. Sometimes who we are, in general, will harmonize with those realities and roles, and sometimes they will conflict and clash creating cognitive dissonance. The first step in avoiding this dissonance is to see multiple realities and understand that you may play different roles within those realities. If you can imagine yourself as an actor playing a role in whatever reality you may find yourself in and then organize “rooms” in your mind and only play the roles in the rooms you find yourself in.
